Preston Park Museum and Grounds is hosting its third annual Harvest Home Festival this Saturday (4 October).
Visitors are invited to the park to help bring home the harvest between 10am and 4pm.
The popular event marks the start of the harvest season and will showcase all of the delicious produce from Preston Park's Walled Kitchen Garden and Orchard. People will also have an opportunity to buy a range of ParkMade items.
There will be a whole host of activities ranging from traditional crafts demonstrations, cookery, garden tours & talks, willow weaving and performances by The Green Finger Folk & 'Can You Dig It.'
Stockton Council's Cabinet Member for Arts, Leisure and Culture, Councillor Ken Dixon, said: "Harvest Home is an excellent event for the whole family. Not only does it mark the season and the harvest in a traditional yet exciting way, it is also a wonderful way to celebrate the fantastic efforts that the staff and volunteers at Preston Park carry out all year round to tend to the kitchen garden and orchard.
"There will be plenty to see and do, even the opportunity to make your own musical instrument from a carrot!"
The event and its activities are free with normal museum admission. For more information visit www.prestonparkmuseum.co.uk
