Best ever Chic Vintique returns to Stockton Town Centre

Wednesday, October 08, 2014

Lovers of all things retro should head to the Chic Vintique Fair as it returns to Stockton’s Parish Gardens with a marquee of treasures ready for Christmas shopping.

Modern and vintage fashions, retro home wares, jewellery, antiques, hand-crafted goodies, quality gifts and sweet and savoury treats will all be on offer this Saturday 11 October, from 10am to 3.30pm.

Admission to the market is free of charge. Popular local band, Bonzo Dog Ends, will entertain shoppers in an upbeat fashion and there will be a range of homemade refreshments to enjoy at Alice’s Vintage Kitchen Tea Room.

Councillor Mike Smith, Stockton Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Transport, said: “Chic Vintique offers something for everyone and shoppers can find unusual handcrafted goods as well as preloved treasures. This fair is perfect for those wishing to treat themselves or start their Christmas shopping early. There will be even more stalls than usual, live music and mouthwatering refreshments on offer.

“To make the most of your visit to this specialist market why not also visit Stockton’s independent shops, take in a film or performance at ARC or get something to eat in one of the town’s restaurants offering everything from Italian to Indian cuisine and now Mexican too at the recently opened Mohujos?”

Organised by Stockton Council and BR events, Chic Vintique is part of an on-going programme of diverse specialist markets which complement the town centre’s weekly traditional markets. To see the full programme of this year’s markets visit
