Start your own business in Stockton

Monday, March 03, 2014

There are plenty of opportunities to succeed in business across Stockton Borough.

That’s the message from Stockton Council and not-for-profit business ‘be Franchising’.

They have worked together to organise a free of charge Franchise Recruitment Exhibition at ARC on Prince Regent Street in Stockton between 10am and 4pm on Thursday 6 March.

People interested in opening a franchised business in Stockton Borough are being encouraged to go along to find out more.

More than 20 innovative and inspiring business franchise brands will be on hand to talk to anyone who visits the event.

Stockton Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Transport, Councillor Mike Smith, said: “It is a very exciting time to set up a business in Stockton Borough. Not only is the regeneration of Stockton set to transform it into a bustling and vibrant town centre which is a perfect environment for businesses to establish themselves and develop, there are also excellent locations right across the Borough in our other town centres like Billingham, Norton, Thornaby and Yarm.

“Franchising often appeals to people who wish to run their own business while benefitting from on-going support and selling a known and established brand. I hope anyone who has got a desire to run their own business comes long to this free event as I think they will be pleasantly surprised to learn that a franchise is a viable option for them.”
