The popular Fire Engine and Vintage Vehicle Show will take place at Preston Park Museum and Grounds on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 June from 11am to 5pm.
The Show includes an exciting range of activities and fun for all the family, including one of the North’s major rallies of classic and restored cars.
Visitors can step back in time and enjoy fire-fighting vehicles from the earliest times to the most modern of appliances and motoring from the 30s to the present day. The exhibits also include commercial vehicles, passenger vehicles, agricultural and military exhibits, pedal and motorcycles.
For families, there is a jammed-packed programme of displays and activities in the main arena including the awe-inspiring ‘Big Pete’ and the ‘Grim Reaper’ monster trucks.
The breathtaking ‘Bolddog Lings’ motorcycle stunt team will also be performing their amazing range of death-defying stunts and there will also be a range of exciting rescue and pumping displays from our local fire fighters.
Additional attractions include craft and food stalls, side shows, a fun fair, trade stands and auto-jumble stalls.
Councillor Ken Dixon, Stockton Council's Cabinet Member for Arts Leisure and Culture, said: “The Fire Engine and Vintage Vehicle Show is a fantastic family event – we hope everyone will come along to join in the fun and enjoy the displays taking place – alongside raising valuable funds for The Firefighters Charity.”
The Show is supported by Stockton Borough Council and volunteers from Teesside Airport Fire Engine Rally (TAFER). This enables a donation to be made to The Firefighters Charity who provide services to enhance the quality of life for serving and retired fire service personnel and their families.
Entry to the Show is £5 (adults) & £2.50 (children and concessions) at the gate. For more information, visit www.stockton.gov.uk/events
