Women and girls from across Stockton Borough are being encouraged to cycle.

Stockton Council is coordinating a 10 week cycle programme which is open to women and girls of all abilities aged 12 and over. Girls aged between 12 and 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Anyone who participates will learn the basics of riding a bike and bike maintenance. Guided rides in the countryside will further develop participants’ confidence when cycling.

Billingham Cyclists will meet every Tuesday from 22 July at 6pm at Billingham Forum. Enrolment is on Thursday 10 July at Billingham Forum.

Thornaby Cyclists will meet every Thursday from 24 July at 6pm at Thornaby Pavilion. Enrolment is on Friday 11 July at Thornaby Pavilion.

Ragworth cyclists will meet every Monday from 21 July at 6pm at Ragworth Community Centre. Enrolment is Tuesday 8 July at the Community Centre.
