Stockton's popular Chic Vintique returns for the tenth time

Wednesday, July 09, 2014

Lovers of all things gorgeous should make their way to Chic Vintique as the popular fair returns to Stockton Town Centre for the tenth time on Saturday, 12 July.

Fashions from modern to vintage, jewellery, quality home-wares, collectables, arts, glass, china, crafts and gifts and more will all be on offer from 10am to 4pm in Stockton's Parish Gardens just off the High Street.

Organised by Stockton Council and BR Events, Chic Vintique is part of a programme of specialist markets heading to the Town Centre over the coming months to attract visitors and shoppers into the town and to complement what the popular weekly market has to offer.

Admission to Chic Vintique is free. As well as the 40 stalls selling a range of treasures shoppers will be entertained by local blues singer, Emma Wilson, who will be performing some vintage classics. There will also be a wide range of homemade refreshments available to buy from Alice’s Vintage Kitchen Tea Room.

Councillor Mike Smith, Stockton Council's Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Transport, said: "Come along to this fantastic market to browse among the stalls, listen to live music and enjoy tasty refreshments – all in Stockton Town Centre.

“There really is something for everyone and it’s a perfect opportunity to visit Stockton’s growing range of independent shops and the traditional market too. “This is the latest specialist market the Council has brought to the Town Centre this year but there are many more planned for the rest of 2014, with something to suit every taste.”

The Council is supporting the expansion of a broad range of markets in Stockton Town Centre as part of its multi million pound programme to regenerate the High Street.
