safe house

Stockton International Riverside Festival (SIRF) is set to get off to a flier!

A huge house-shaped structure has taken shape on Trinity Green and riggers have been testing it ahead of tomorrow (August 1) night’s opening show Safe House.

The show will see performers scale the walls, appear out of windows, climb onto the roof top and even fly around the house.

Meanwhile, the mysterious house itself will dramatically come to life with large-scale projections.

The free 50-minute show starts at 9.45pm tomorrow at Trinity Green and will provide a spectacular curtain-raiser for four days of street theatre and dance.

Safe House is created by award winning Metro-Boulot-Dodo in collaboration with Wired Aerial Theatre.

SIRF is supported by Arts Council England – to see the full festival programme, visit the SIRF website
