Anyone looking for something special for their pet should find it in Stockton Town Centre.

Pet Boutique, Wags and Whiskers, is expanding after spending six months trading in Stockton Council’s low risk Enterprise Arcade.

The shop which sells a range of quality and handmade products such as leads, collars, beds and accessories is now located at 26 Dovecot Street.

Business Owner, Carl Shepherdson, said: “I’m really pleased with my move to the larger unit on Dovecot Street. It means I can offer an expanded range of products and services which meet the demand of my customers.

“Pets are an important part of many people’s lives so why wouldn’t we want to treat them once in a while?

“I am grateful for all the support Stockton Council’s Enterprise Arcade has given me in the last six months. By trading from the Arcade I was able to see if my business idea was viable. Business is now booming, I’m really excited about the coming months and the completion of the town’s regeneration programme. I am so pleased to be able to offer something different in Stockton Town Centre.”

Stockton Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Transport, Councillor Mike Smith, said: “Stockton Town Centre is quickly transforming and it is really encouraging to see businesses are showing their confidence in the town’s on-going and future success by establishing themselves in the town.

“Independent businesses like Wags and Whiskers are helping Stockton Town Centre offer a unique shopping experience and that’s already encouraging more people to shop here.”

Stocking brands such as Lily's Kitchen, Canagan, BecoThings, Billy & Margot, Pet London and many more the boutique is open 9.00am until 5.30pm Monday-Saturday and 11.00am until 2.00pm on Sundays.
