Another chance to spoil your Kiddiwinks at Stockton specialist market

Wednesday, July 16, 2014

A specialist market catering for babies, toddlers and expectant loved ones will return to Stockton’s Parish Gardens for the second time on Saturday 19 July.

From toys to teddy bears, clothing and treats for mums-to-be, there will be plenty of unique goods on offer on the day so come along to browse the stalls from 10am to 3pm.

As well as wide range of products and goods at Kiddiwinks’ Market there will be a programme of activities for little ones to keep them entertained. Peppa Pig will be making a series of appearances in the marquee at 11am, 12noon, 1pm and 2pm. Lovers of the popular television character will be able to meet and have their photo taken with Peppa for free.

Youngsters are invited to bring their teddy along to the market to enjoy a teddy bears’ picnic in Parish Gardens. The first hundred children will receive a free packed lunch. Children can also try their hand at decorating a cup cake, paint a pot at the Pottery Pen or have their faces painted for a small charge. Throughout the day shoppers will be entertained by BCT Youth Music.

Councillor Mike Smith, Stockton Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Transport, said: “We want to attract visitors and shoppers into Stockton Town Centre with our specialist markets programme. This is the second time Kiddiwinks’ market has come to Stockton this year with a range of tempting products perfect for bumps, babies, tots, older children and expectant parents. Come and discover all the things on offer and make the most of the programme of activities designed to keep the children entertained.”

The Council is supporting the expansion of a broad range of markets in Stockton Town Centre as part of its multi million pound programme to regenerate the High Street.
