A shop dedicated to helping people find out more about what the town has to offer has opened on the High Street.
Situated at 134 High Street, the "Rediscover Stockton" shop is home to the town's Visitor Information Centre.
The Visitor Information Centre staff can show people how they can find out more about the town’s multi-million pound regeneration and anyone interested can pick up information leaflets and look at a giant map which illustrates what the High Street will look like in future.
Stockton Council and Birse Civils, the contractor carrying out the works, hold drop-in sessions every Wednesday between 10am and 2pm at the shop so people can find out more.
Stockton's Council's Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Transport, Councillor Mike Smith, said: "There is so much to learn about Stockton Town Centre. There is a wealth of history relating to the town and there are so many exciting plans for its future too.
"With top class events, markets, a wealth of history and a growing reputation for independent shops Stockton Town Centre really does have a lot to offer.
"The works taking place will make it easier for people to visit and shop in the town centre while also making it a lot more comfortable and enjoyable place to be so it certainly is time to start rediscovering Stockton."
