Golf Day scores a hole in one for Mayor's charities

The annual Mayor's Charity Golf Day raised a massive £7,000 this year.

The Mayor of Stockton, Councillor Lynne Apedaile is raising money for A Way Out, Dogs Trust and the local branch of SSAFA (Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association).

The Charity Golf Day took place at Wynyard Golf Club with 36 teams competing for top prize. The winners were from Carlington Developments Ltd.

A raffle was also held to raise money.

Councillor Lynne Apedaile said: "I am absolutely delighted at the amount of money raised and would like to say a huge thank-you to everyone who took part and helped reach such a generous figure.

"Raising funds for my charities during my mayoral year is very important to me and I hope everyone enjoyed taking part in the golf event - congratulations to the team from Carlington Developments Ltd on their win."
