Job Description:
The ICT Service is looking to recruit two Apprentice ICT Support Analysts to assist in providing ICT support, resolving queries, problem-solving and providing technical assistance to our clients.

The ICT service is part of Xentrall Shared Services, a ground breaking public / public partnership between Stockton-on-Tees and Darlington Borough Councils. The ICT Service provides a comprehensive service to both Stockton and Darlington Borough Councils and some of their partners. You will be based in the Town Hall in Darlington with supervised visits to other sites as and when required

The apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to gain valuable work experience whilst working towards a qualification. You will gain experience of maintaining and managing ICT equipment, installing and configuring hardware, resolving faults and upgrading or replacing equipment. It will also help you develop your understanding of Windows operating systems and desktop hardware.

With a strong interest in ICT, you will have a flair for fault finding and problem solving and be keen to develop and learn professional ICT skills. We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working, positive individual who is self-motivated and able to work on their own initiative as well as being a team player. The successful candidate will be committed to providing excellent service, be willing to learn and develop, and will not be afraid to try new things. You will be provided with a mentor who will support you in developing your career and who encourage you to try new things.

Apprenticeship Qualification
You will work towards the achievement of a Level 3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence, delivered by Stockton on Tees Borough Council's Learning & Skills Service. Apprenticeship opportunities are open to anyone over the age of 16 years with no upper age limit. Please note however, that applicants will be required to meet the entry requirements for course. If you already possess a Level 3 qualification or higher in ICT you will unfortunately not be eligible for this apprenticeship.
