Healthwatch Stockton-on-Tees is a local residents' champion for all the Health and Social Care services across the Borough.
Healthwatch services have been set up all across the UK to provide a strong, singular voice of the citizens and communities in influencing local health and social care services to better meet their needs. It can also help support people to find the right service for their needs through impartial information and advice.
Healthwatch Stockton-on-Tees will work with local people, (children and adults), patients, service users, carers, community groups, organisations, service providers and commissioners to get the best out of local health and social care services. This doesn’t just mean improving services today, but influencing and shaping services to meet the needs of the local communities in the future. Healthwatch Stockton-on-Tees also works closely with voluntary and community sector organisations, including the Stockton Service Navigation Project (SSNP).
The SSNP aims to direct people to services that will benefit their health and wellbeing. The services that the SSNP helps residents navigate to are non-medical support and focus on mental health and wellbeing, such as anxiety and depression as well as people with long term illnesses.
It is simple and easy to make your voice heard and one of the easiest ways to do this is through the Healthwatch website. You can also sign up to the Healthwatch E-Bulletin and review Healthwatch Stockton-on-Tees latest news.
The Healthwatch service in Stockton is managed and delivered by local charity Pioneering Care Parternship (PCP). The Durham-based charity aims to improve the health and wellbeing of residents all across the North East. You can find further information on the PCP website.
