Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council

Big plans for our places and open spaces

St. Mark's C of E Primary (including Nursery) will be closed on Thursday 14th November 2019 for an environmental clean and expected to re-open on Friday 15th November 2019.

Green waste collections from your home

We operate a seasonal collection service of green waste from your home every two weeks.

We collect green waste from domestic properties across the Stockton Borough on a designated day (from Tuesday through to Friday) every two weeks. This system means there are no changes to green waste collection arrangements following Bank Holiday Mondays, your green waste collection day will be the same as your recycling waste collection day.

Green Waste collections for 2019 will commence:

  • Week commencing 1 April 2019 – Red Week
  • Week commencing 8 April 2019 – Blue Week

This service will run for 28 weeks, with the final collection week commencing 7 October 2019.

An additional green waste collection will take place in November on the following collection days:

Weekly Collection Day Additional Collection Day
Tuesday Saturday 16 November 2019
Wednesday Saturday 16 November 2019
Thursday Sunday 17 November 2019
