The Planning Management function is carried out by Planning Development Services and the Building Regulations function is carried out by Consultancy Services. The Local Plan function is carried out by Economic Growth and Spatial Development, and can be found in our Economic Regeneration and Transport section.

 

On Monday 31 July 2017 there could be disruption to our planning systems whilst upgrades are undertaken. As a result, our Planning Public Access website at https://www.developmentmanagement.stockton.gov.uk/online-applications/ may not be available during this period. It is expected that the service will be available on Tuesday 1 August 2017.

Planning Development Services 

Deal with planning applications and associated matters, and also enforcement.

 

The Building Control Team

Work on Building regulations which apply to many aspects of building work carried out to all types of buildings.

 

The Economic Strategy and Spatial Planning Team

Work on the Local Plan and new Local Development Framework, which sets out future planning policies and proposed land uses for the Borough.

 

Planning Aid England

Planning Aid England provides free, independent and professional advice on town and country planning issues to community groups and individuals.

They believe everyone should have the opportunity to get involved planning their local area, and provide people with the knowledge and tools to do this.
