Victoria Estate

housing

The re-development of the Victoria Estate is being delivered jointly by Stockton Council and The Thirteen Group.  This area is uniquely placed in terms of its proximity to Stockton Town Centre, retail and leisure facilities.

The Victoria Estate was made up of 254 dwellings, - a mix of maisonettes and flats. The process of moving households is well underway and further demolition will commence at the site in the summer of 2015.

Stockton Borough Council is exploring the concept that the need to address the lack of appropriate retirement housing options for renting and owner occupiers in the Borough has highlighted that this site may provide a unique opportunity to develop an ‘Urban Village’ exclusively providing active ageing/retirement housing.  A sustainable and re-developed Victoria will play a key supporting role in the Councils vision for the newly regenerated Stockton Town Centre.
