Green Infrastructure Delivery Plan

countryside

The Green Infrastructure Delivery Plan sets out a wide range of projects which could be delivered by Stockton Council or other organisations, to address the objectives set out in the Stockton-on-Tees Green Infrastructure Strategy.

Please note that the Delivery Plan is just one stage in a much longer process.  It sets out some initial proposals which in most cases need to be discussed in more detail with local residents, landowners and other organisations.

First produced in Spring 2012, the delivery plans have been amended in June 2013.

The active projects list has also been amended to reflect the schemes that Stockton Council is currently progressing. The rural areas/access routes plans are currently being reviewed and will be posted up when available.

First produced in Spring 2012, the delivery plans were amended June 2013. The 'table of amendments' details the variations between the revised and the original delivery plans.

The active projects list has also been amended to reflect the schemes that Stockton Council is currently progressing.

The rural areas/access routes plans are currently being reviewed and will be posted when available.

The Delivery Plan can be viewed on an area-by-area basis.

Potential projects are listed and colour-coded under the following themes:

  • Access Routes (e.g. footpaths, cycleways and bridleways)
  • Biodiversity/Natural Green spaces (e.g. wildflower meadows or ponds)
  • Community Food (e.g. allotments, community gardens and orchards)
  • Informal Sports (e.g. multi-use games areas and skate parks)
  • Green spaces and Parks (e.g. formal parks, cemeteries)
  • Spaces for Play (e.g. play areas and more natural play environments)
  • Sports Pitches
  • Trees and Woodlands

You should also refer to the briefing note and the background information document for the Green Infrastructure Delivery Plan. They both explain more about the plan and how it can be used.
