Tristar Homes manages social housing across Stockton Borough. In 2010, Council tenants voted for over 10,000 homes to be transferred from Stockton Council to Tristar Homes. Tristar Homes Ltd is a registered social landlord.

As a result of the transfer, Tristar Homes gained the ability to unlock £140 million for an investment programme which will see upgrades to properties, improve the lives of tenants, and invest in homes for future generations.

Complaints about social housing

The Housing Ombudsman service looks at complaints about housing organisations. The service is free, independent and impartial.

They consider all complaints but encourage landlords and tenants to work together in the first instance so that complaints can be resolved at a local level and at the earliest opportunity.
