Support for businesses in regions with Local COVID alert level: high restrictions

Government has announced a new grant scheme for businesses in the hospitality and leisure sectors who are in regions with 'Local COVID alert level: high’ restrictions.  It is expected to be in place by 1 November 2020. Details of the announcement can be found on the website.

We will update this page with details of how to apply when we receive further information from Government.

Test and Trace

The Government now requires businesses from the following sectors to display a poster with a personalised NHS Test and Trace app QR code:

  • Hospitality (e.g. hotels, bars, coffee shops)
  • Leisure and tourism (e.g. gyms, cinemas, museums)
  • Close contact services (e.g. hair and beauty salons, tattooists, tailors)
  • Places of worship (e.g. churches, mosques)
  • Local authority venues

You can create and download you poster by visiting the website.

A copy of the poster should be displayed at each of the entrances to your premises and you should ask customers and visitors to scan the QR code when they arrive. If you have multiple venues, you need to create a different QR code poster for each. Read the full Government guidance for more information.

You can use the guides below to make sure you are adhering to the guidelines.
