The School Attendance Team works with schools, families and other agencies to improve school attendance and ensures that all comply with the statutory duties and responsibilities relating to a pupil's attendance at school or other education provision.
The role of the Attendance Team includes:
The Council has a legal obligation to provide education for all children and enforce the law relating to school attendance. Children who are not in school could be missing out on vital educational and social opportunities. Please read the following documents for further information.
