Take part in our Takeover activities
The purpose of a Takeover Day is to have young people work in an organisation for the day to learn about the world of work. Every young person has the right to have a say in the decisions that affect them, and the Takeover Challenge encourages them to exercise that right.
It's been hugely successful in previous years with thousands of organisations and young people taking part, learning new skills, gaining confidence and spreading the ideas of Takeover Challenge across the country.
Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is getting involved in the Takeover Challenge as part of an all year round programme of opportunities to take over roles across all services within the council.
Take a look at what North Shore Academy got up to for their takeover day:
We would like volunteers to take part because this is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable work experience as well as a greater understanding of the role of the council and the services and support we provide for the local community. You will also log your volunteer hours through Vinspired, which will lead to a nationally recognised accreditation, great for your CV, UCAS & Apprenticeship Applications.
