Businesses being encouraged to Make It Cheaper
Businesses across Stockton Borough are being encouraged to get involved in a new campaign that could help them reduce their energy bills.
Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is working in partnership with 'Make It Cheaper' to promote tariff switching and help businesses save money on gas and electricity costs.
UK-based Make It Cheaper source prices from a panel of trusted suppliers, set out the offers available and help businesses to choose the best deal for them.
They have successfully switched more than 250,000 energy contracts since 2007 so Stockton Borough businesses are being asked to consider whether they could benefit from using the service.
Councillor Mike Smith, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council's Cabinet Member for Environment and Housing, said: "Businesses in our area will be receiving leaflets about the Make It Cheaper campaign along with their non-domestic rates bill in the near future.
"There's no deadline for businesses to take up the offer and all enquiries are handled according to their specific needs and requirements.
"I would encourage all businesses in the Borough to review their costs and see what savings Make It Cheaper could achieve for them by switching tariffs."
