The RSPB has worked in partnership with the Teesside Environmental Trust (TET) to make Saltholme a reality.

The Trust is a local charity whose aims of wildlife conservation, environmental education and regeneration, closely match those of the RSPB.

Directions

Saltholme is situated near the mouth of the River Tees between Billingham and Seaton Carew, adjacent to the A178.

Saltholme is 10 minutes from the A19; turn east off the A19 north of Stockton along the A689. After half a mile, take the A1185; in 4 miles join the A178 at a mini roundabout and take the third exit. The reserve entrance is 250 metres on the right-hand side.

Opening Times

Saltholme is open every day except Christmas Day.

April 1 to October 31 - open from 10am to 5pm.

November 1 to March 31 - open from 10am to 4pm.
