With its wildflower meadows, reed-beds, ponds, marsh and woodland, Billingham Beck Valley is a great place to explore – whatever the time of year.
There’s an extensive network of footpaths running through the park, criss-crossing Billingham Beck and extending into the wider countryside.
The park is a real haven for wildlife. Birds such as kingfishers and wagtails can be spotted along the beck, while the wetland habitats attract species such as snipe, sedge warbler, coot and moorhen. The low-lying wet grasslands are a real delight in summer, with a diverse range of grasses and wild flowers, and butterflies such as the meadow brown, common blue and dingy skipper.
The site is situated adjacent to the A19 on the A1027 road to Billingham, giving good transport links to the Teesside area.
Parking is available on the site, open daily
