The routes vary for each run but have one thing in common - a spectacular riverside setting. Here's a breakdown of each one:
Great North CityGames Elite Mile - Stockton-on-Tees
For the first time in the event's ten year history, the Elite Mile race is moving away from its established location on the NewcastleGateshead Quayside and taking place on the banks of the River Tees.
This exciting elite event will see world-class athletes take on a course that starts on North Shore Road and crosses the Infinity Bridge and Princess of Wales Bridge before finishing on Stockton's Riverside.
And you can come along and watch it for free!
The Simplyhealth Great Tees 10k
This route follows a flat, closed road course that starts and finishes on Riverside Road, close to Princess of Wales Bridge.
The course starts on the river's north side and takes in some of Stockton-on-Tees' most famous sights, including the iconic Infinity Bridge and Tees Barrage. It then crosses the historic Tees Newport Bridge and travels back on the south side of the river along the Maze Park Nature Reserve, before passing Durham University's waterfront Queen's Campus.
On your final kilometre you will cross the Tees once more - this time via the Millennium Footbridge - before crossing the finish line on the Riverside.
Mini and Junior Great Tees Run
The event offers two shorter running routes - the 2K Mini course is for three to eight-year-olds while the a 4K Junior course is for those aged nine to 14.
Both routes start on Riverside Road, with young runners travelling along the north side of the River Tees, with the Mini runners turning right to cross the Infinity Bridge while Junior runners continue on and cross the river at the Tees Barrage.
Both of the runs then return along the river's south side, crossing the Millennium Footbridge, and heading back to the finish line on Riverside Road.
