Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council

Big plans for the care we provide

Adult education

Rated 'Good' by Ofsted and 'Outstanding' for Community Learning, Stockton Council Learning and Skills, offers a wide range of learning and apprenticeship training opportunities for adult and post 16 learners across Stockton and the surrounding area.

One of the most often heard comments we receive is “It’s nothing like school”. This is intentional and we teach in a much more informal way to accommodate the needs of adults.

We take great pride in having a truly diverse range of learners who are united by their enjoyment of activities such as stained glass design, family history or computing skills, to name but a few. We offer great teaching and support to help you on your learning journey and aid progression in life and work. We run courses during the day and evenings to accommodate everyone.

If you are unsure about which course to take, we can offer you independent advice to help you make the right choices.
