Town and Parish Councils
Within the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees, there are 16 Town and Parish Councils. The Borough Council's Standards Committee has the same functions in relation to those Councils as it does for the Borough Council. The Standards Committee is accordingly responsible for promoting and maintaining high standards of conduct by the members of Town and Parish Councils, and for assisting them to observe their Councils' Codes of Conduct.
The Borough Council's Monitoring Officer is also the Monitoring Officer for the Town and Parish Councils in Stockton's administrative area.
