Standards Committee
All principal Councils must have a committee called a Standards Committee
as required by the Local Government Act 2000. Stockton has had a Standards
Committee in place since 1999. The Standards Committee membership has an
independent Chair, two other independent members, two parish
representatives and five elected members. There are also substitutes to
cover unavailability of the elected, parish and independent members
the details of whom are listed below:
