Ethical Governance
The Council assesses its ethical health, as an organisation, on a continuing basis. During the latter part of 2006, surveys of Members, Employees and Key Partners and an IDeA facilitated light touch health check were undertaken to determine:-
- whether the Council's democratic processes were open, accountable and ethically strong
- if high standards of conduct existed within the Authority
- inform proposals for making improvements to its systems and procedures, where necessary
