-The Stockton Borough Council Publication Scheme January 2009
From 1 January 2009, all public authorities were required to adopt the Information Commissioner's Office Model Publication Scheme. This replaces the previous Publication Scheme, which was first produced during the introduction of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
Stockton Council's approach to publishing information is to have as much information as possible on our website although, in some cases, some documents may only be available in hard copy. This is the most simple method to ensure that documents are updated on a regular basis and therefore information is current and accurate. All members of the public can access the Council's website at our public libraries.
The Model Publication Scheme can be accessed as a Word document from this page and contains hyperlinks which take you to the area of the Council's website where the information is held. If you have any difficulties in using this document please contact one of our Freedom of Information contacts listed on this page and we will do our best to assist you.
This document will be updated on a regular basis as new information is identified and published on our website. If you have any queries about the contents of this Publication Scheme, or would like to suggest improvements, we would be glad to hear from you.
