Single Equality Scheme
The fourth edition of the Single Equality Scheme has now been published and is available to download below.
The scheme outlines how we will meet our commitment to
tackle discrimination and promote equality of opportunity. It brings
together all the actions the Council will take to meet our legal, moral and
social responsibilities to ensure no resident of the borough or employee of
the Council experiences discrimination as a result of their age,
disability, faith and belief (or non-belief), gender, race, sexual
orientation, marital or socio-economic status. Previous editions of
the scheme have been very successful and have helped the Council achieve
recognition as one of the best in the country for the promotion of equality
and diversity.
The scheme is driven by the views and opinions of Stockton borough residents and to ensure everyone receives fair access to all our services we need to hear your views. If you have any comments on the Single Equality Scheme, please contact the Diversity Team.
If you require any further information, please contact the Diversity team, details can be found to the left of this screen.
