Public Sector Equality Duties
Public authorities are required to publish information to demonstrate their compliance with the general equality duty.
This includes, in particular, information to be published relating to people who share relevant protected characteristics that are:
- affected by its policies and practices
- information relating to its employees
The purpose of publishing equality information
Publishing equality information helps people to assess the equality performance of Stockton Borough Council.
The information provides a clearer picture of how we comply with the general equality duty and will help to inform us when making decisions about the services we provide.
View the annual Workforce Profile report along with supporting information about associated procedures and working practices:
- Equal opportunities policy
- Equal opportunities monitoring form
- Equality staff forums
- E-induction and diversity
- Recruitment and Engagement group
- Equality Impact Assessments
The information we have collected so far is contained within the report. More detailed data will be collected over coming months and added to the report.
We are also preparing Public Sector Equality Objectives: 2012-2016. These will be available on this website by April 2012.
If would like additional information about our equality policies please contact the Diversity team.
