Equality and Diversity - Assessing Ourselves
In December 2008 the council achieved level three of the
Equality Standard for Local Government following a peer assessment by the
Improvement and Development Agency (IDeA).
This award recognises the excellent progress the Council has made in ensuring our services meet the unique and varied needs of all our residents. However, we are not complacent and the council will continue to develop and improve its approach to diversity in the spirit of the Equality Framework.
