Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council has undertaken a full review of polling places, polling districts and polling stations used during elections.
This consultation provided an opportunity for residents and interested parties their views on the facilities available used as polling stations.
Following the consultation a full report was considered by the Cabinet on 27th September 2007, who's recommendation will be considered at Council on 17th October 2007. The full report can be viewed at the Municipal Buildings by contacting the Electoral Registration Team or by following the link below:
Review of Polling Districts, Polling Places and Polling Stations
A Polling Station is the actual area within a building (such as a school or community centre) where the voting process takes place. The whole Borough is divided into electoral Wards; a Polling District is a geographical sub-division of a Ward.
You can find out which ward and polling district you live in, together with the location of your polling station, by clicking on the link for Maps @ Stockton. Once you have accepted the user agreement, click on 'Property Information' and enter your address. Details of your property's electoral information will then be displayed.
At the bottom of this page you can also find the full revised list of polling stations.
