Guide to Voting |
|
Your Guide to Voting at a Polling Station - At the Polling Station please state your name and address. You do not have to show your polling card, but it may help officials.
- Your name will then be marked against a list of electors. This is to guard against duplicate voting.
- You will be handed a numbered ballot paper with a security mark on (to help combat against fraud). This will also tell you how many candidates you can vote for.
- Take the ballot paper to one of the polling booths which are screened to ensure secrecy
- Put an X in the box next to the candidate you want to vote for (you may have more than one vote in local elections)
- Fold the ballot paper and post it in the ballot box.
