Cllr Bill Woodhead

I hope you find the information in my pages useful. My experience of the Fairfield ward and local government is extensive so please feel free to contact me to discuss your issue at any reasonable time. My contact details are available to the right of this text.

Before retiring I worked as a buyer at ICI in Billingham. When I have free time I enjoy walking, visiting the theatre, travelling and have a passion for quizzes. I have lived in Fairfield for most of my life and have been the ward councillor for Fairfield (previously known as Bishopsgarth) for a number of years.

I represented the ward on the old Cleveland County Council from 1977 - 1996, and on the Stockton Borough Council from 1973 - present (with a four year break between 1995 - 1999). I am currently the Chair of the Licensing Committee, and Vice Chair of the Housing Review Introductory Tenancy Panel as well as a member of the Housing and Community Safety Committee, a member of the Environment Select Committee, and a member of the Executive Scrutiny Committee. I am also a Member of the Cleveland Fire Authority and am on the Board of Tristar Homes. I am a member of numerous other bodies including the National Association of Clean Air and the Tees Community Forest and I serve as a governor at a local school.
