How do I report litter or fly tipping? The Stockton Council Care For Your Area Team deal with litter, recycling, waste collection and fly tipping together with a lot of other similar functions. The contact details for the team are available on this page so that you can contact them directly. You can also contact me to report the problem on your behalf or you can submit an online form about the problem at any time of the day or night which ensures that the fault is reported directly to the appropriate team as soon as possible.
To use the online forms click on the Online Services blue button toward the top of the page and then select A Fault, Problem or Request For Service. If you select the large Care For Your Area icon on the page you will see a list of different problems to report or services to request. Choose the appropriate one and complete the form with all of the relevant details and submit the form at any time of the day or night.
Where can I get independent advice? The Citizens Advice service helps people resolve their legal, money, benefit and other problems by providing free, independent and confidential advice. The main CAB Office is in Stockton at Bath Lane, STOCKTON-ON-TEES,TS18 2DS. 01642 607445. The Stockton office is open to caller from 9.30 to 12.30 Monday to Friday, no appointment needed.
Useful Police Contacts in my ward Medina House Police Office, Medina Close, Stockton on Tees. This office is not staffed full time by police officers, but notes left for them through the door can be attended to when they return. The local Beat officer is PC David Greaves and he can be contacted or a message left on 302930. For Police issues that need immediate attention dial 326326 For emergencies always dial 999
How do I report a faulty streetlight? Make a note of the reference number on the faulty street light and send an email containing it to street.lighting@stockton.gov.uk. The full contact details for the Street Lighting team are available in the Who to Contact section of this page. There is also an on-line form available for reporting faulty street lights via the Online Services button toward the top of this page. Alternatively you can contact me with the details of the fault via email, phone or letter and I will report the problem for you. The average repair time is at present three days for a simple repair e.g. lamp or fuse. However, some lighting faults are due to electricity supply failures, the majority of which are repaired by the utility company. Unfortunately these repairs can take up to 30 days to resolve.
How do I report Anti Social Behaviour? The Stockton Council Anti Social Behaviour team have a series of pages where you can report a variety of different incidents at any time of the day or night. They can be reached via the related content section of this page. There are also links to and contact numbers for different agencies who may be able to assist. You can also contact the Anti Social Behaviour team by email or phone. Contact details are available on this page. Alternatively you can contact me by phone, email or letter to discuss the problem and how best to proceed.
If you are a Tristar Tenant you can report Anti Social Behaviour to their own ASB reduction team. There is an external link on the left of this page to the Tristar website page where you can submit details of the problem. In the first instance all reports of ASB will be investigated by the Patch Manager who in Elm Tree can be contacted on 528269 and of course you can contact me directly to discuss the problem.
Where can I find details of the local schools ? The local schools for children living in the Bishopsgarth and Elm Tree Ward include Whitehouse Primary, St Marks Church of England Primary School together with Bishopsgarth School in the secondary sector. How do I check on the progress of planning applications in my area? You can check planning application details on-line where you can search for a specific Planning Application or a Property and check on the weekly lists of applications received and their progress. There is a link in the Related Content section of this page to the On-Line Planning system.
Fire Safety Checks Home Fire Safety Visits by Cleveland Fire Brigade are designed to reduce the number of fire related deaths and injuries within our area. The aim of the initiative is to offer a free home fire safety visit to everyone within our community. The Home Fire Safety Visits are carried out by operational crews who help identify fire hazards, provide fire safety advice, assist with fire planning, and will, if necessary fit FREE smoke alarms.
