Romano Park Contractor Appointed
The Play Practice, from Stirling, has been chosen as the contractor to design and build Romano Park in Ingleby Barwick. Potential contractors gave presentations to residents, children, councillors and other interested people during September 2008. Detailed designs for Romano Park, the new play space, are now being drawn up.
Romano Park will be a landscaped park with play equipment for children of all ages from toddlers to teenagers. Earlier this year a group of children were invited to get involved in the design process for the park and they were invited along to see the presentations and evaluate them along with other members of the public.
Once the detailed designs have been drawn up it is hoped that work will start on the park in January 2009 and it will be completed by the spring and ready to use in the summer of 2009.
New Golf Clubhouse opens
The new Ingleby Barwick Golf Academy Clubhouse was opened on 14th July 2008. The clubhouse will be a great addition to the golfing and non-golfing community of Ingleby Barwick. The Bistro is open for breakfast, lunch, and evening meals or just for coffee and a snack and is open to the public as well as members of the club.
