Community experience:
I worked at ICI's research centres on Teesside and elsewhere for 44 years, mainly laboratory based.
Trades Union member since starting work, currently a UNITE Branch secretary/treasurer
Generalist Adviser at the Stockton & District Advice Service (CAB) since 1998, attending 1 1/2 days per week
Treasurer of Norton Medical Centre Patients' Group steering committee
Chair to Norton West Ward Branch of the Labour Party
Current experience of public office or candidature:
LEA Governor Rep onGlebe Primary School - (7 years) and Crooksbarn Primary School (4 years)
Consort to Mayor - May 2003 to May 2004
Sitting Magistrate 1977 - 2006 (Although now retired from the bench I still hold the title J.P. because I served in excess of 12 years. My name remains on the Supplemental List)
