Celebrate the Olympics in Billingham and Stockton
On 17 June the Olympic Torch Relay will pass through Billingham and Stockton during its nationwide tour. For full details of the route please visit www.stockton.gov.uk/olympics

Billingham Town Centre
Work will shortly begin on a £2.35 million improvement programme for the town centre in partnership with its owners Stockland Plc to include new toilets, repaving the entire central area, new seating, lighting and other improvements to the streetscape. Stockland Plc has submitted a planning application to create new space for a new national leisure operator and retailer in the West Precinct.

Billingham will also have a new library and customer service centre similar to the successful centres already opened in Thornaby and Stockton.

Billingham House Demolition
In October 2011, the written application by owners Bizzy B to apply for leave to appeal was refused. In accordance with the court procedure rules, Bizzy B have applied for an oral hearing to reconsider their application for leave to appeal scheduled for February 2012. This case has now gone to the Court of Appeal which which will likely be heard in May 2012.

Renew Your Postal Vote
All postal votes must be renewed after 5 years. If yours needs renewing, you will receive a form and clear instructions on what to do. Its an easy process but you must return the completed renewal form or you will lose your postal vote.
