Working with Community Energy Solutions (CES)
the Stockton Council has secured £3.9m of funding from Eggborough Power Ltd, through the energy saving programme to keep more than 600 households warmer at reduced costs.
An additional £1.5m of funding from the Department of Communities & Local Government will allow the Council to continue it's long term regeneration plans for Parkfield's demolished area. To find out more please visit www.stockton.gov.uk/warmparkfield

Renew Your Postal Vote
All postal votes must be renewed after 5 years. If yours needs renewing, you will receive a form and clear instructions on what to do. Its an easy process but you must return the completed renewal form or you will lose your postal vote.
If you haven't already got a postal vote but would like one or you wish to register to vote, please contact the Council's Electoral Services on (01642) 526196, or by emailing electoral@stockton.gov.uk, or by printing off an application form from www.stockton.gov.uk/yourcouncil/electoralregistration
Healthy Lifestyles
There is currently a Primary Care Trust (PCT) programme in place to promote healthy lifestyles amongst the Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) community encouraging people to eat a balanced diet and take more exercise and particularly to walk regularly. One of the activities of the programme is to offer free blood pressure checks. Blood pressure checking sessions are being run after the Friday congregation in the mosques in Hartington Road and in Northcote Street. For more details of the programme and for the dates of the blood pressure sessions please contact me directly. My details are available in the Contact US section of this page.
Regular Visits from the Chief Constable
I have arranged regular visits from the Chief Constable of Cleveland Police, Mr Sean Price, to all of the mosques in the Tees Valley area, where members of the BME community can ask questions of and talk directly with the Chief Constable and some of his team. Sessions have taken place on Fridays after prayers at the mosques. I will try to give two or three weeks notice of future sessions to the committee members of each mosque so that they can advertise them, but if you would like more information please contact me directly. The aim of these meetings is to improve communication and general relationships between the police force and the BME community.
I represent all of the residents living in the Parkfield and Oxbridge ward whatever their political allegiance.
Residents living in the Parkfield and Oxbridge Ward are currently represented in the UK Parliament by James Wharton MP. There is a link to the UK Parliament web site on this page which you may find interesting.
