Some interesting stronger communities facts about Stockton-on-Tees include: 

  1. During 2008 28.2% (+/- 3.0) of the Borough's residents agreed that they felt they could influence local decisions. (Source: Place Survey, 2008, DCLG).
  2. During 2008 7.9% (+/- 1.7) of the Borough's residents claimed they had been involved in decisions affecting their local area during the previous 12 months. This is the highest proportion in the Tees Valley. (Source: Place Survey, 2008, DCLG).
  3. During 2008 28.2% (+/- 3.0) of the Borough's residents gave unpaid help at least once per month over the previous 12 months. This is a higher proportion than the North East and England overall. (Source: Place Survey, 2008, DCLG).
