Some interesting equality and diversity facts about Stockton-on-Tees include:
- In mid 2010 there were 94,400 males and 98,000 females living in the Stockton-on-Tees borough. (Source: Office for National Statistics).
- During 2004 Stockton-on-Tees had 2,265 people registered as deaf or hard of hearing. This is equal to approximately 1% of the Borough's population. (Source: Stockton-on-Tees Joint Strategic Needs Assessment).
- In Stockton-on-Tees during 2009, 181,100 people were classified as 'white' (94.8% of the population) and 10,000 people were classified as 'other ethnic groups' (5.2% of the population). (Source: Office for National Statistics).
