Data Matching

Concessionary bus passes, blue badge and parking permit holders; notification of inclusion in national anti-fraud data matching exercise

It is in every tax payer's interest to ensure public money used in providing a wide range of services is used appropriately and that any potentially fraudulent use is identified and investigated.

Every two years the Council takes part in a national data matching exercise organised by the Audit Commission. This means we share our data with other organisations to help combat fraud.

The Council's records on concessionary bus passes, blue badge and parking permit holders will be included in the exercise this time. The data will be matched against a number of other council databases and to similar databases held by a number of organisations across the country.
Systems have been put in place to secure the data will at all times be treated in the strictest confidence.

CCTV Policy
Stockton Council has a policy of not allowing footage captured by its CCTV network to be sold to media companies.
