Consultation? Can initially sound a bit confusing, so what's it all about?
Youth Viewpoint consultation provides the council with your views and comments so that local services can be improved to best suit the things you want.
Once you are an official member of the Youth Viewpoint Panel you will be asked to take take part in completing questionnaires, only about three per year.
How? - Well we will post them out to you and include a freepost return envelope, so all you have to do is tell us what your views are - and most of the questions only require you to tick a box!!
Although all questionnaires are entirely voluntary, there are cool prizes to be won for retuning your surveys.
As a member you will have the chance to enter the other various great competitions Viewpoint boasts! With prizes such as Cinema vouchers, Splash family swim passes and one lucky member won a signed Middlesbrough football club poster!
Basically, you tell us what you think about topics such as crime, litter, museums, local activities, shops, parks, local facilities etc concerning appearance, general upkeep, how often you visit, how useful and enjoyable they were and what improvements you think could be made. The information you provide is used when we make changes to these and other services and facilities.
We have a Youth Viewpoint Newsletter. Three are issued each year featuring all the prize winners, local events and your survey feedback.
Recent feedback example - "The main reason for being dissatisfied with Preston Park was that there was nothing to do for teenagers"
If you're not on the panel, you views are not being included in council decision making.
