Before you apply for a job with Stockton Council

Before completing an application form please ensure you read the job description, person specification and guidance notes which are included on the application form.

Please consider the following information:

  • We do not accept CVs as part of your application, you must complete the application form.
  • A seperate application form must be completed for each position if you apply for more than one job.
  • Your application will be assessed against the criteria listed on the person specification.
  • Make sure all sections are completed as clearly and as fully as possible.
  • If you run ot of space you may use additional pages.
  • Make sure your application form is returned by the closing date.  Applications received after the closing date will not be considered.
  • Keep a copy of your application, it will be useful to refer to for preparation if you are called for interview.
  • If you are applying for a vacancy within a school, please take care to read the advert. The majority of our schools ask for completed applications to be returned directly to the school.

Open the vacancy you are interested in and select the online application form option.  You will need to confirm that you have read and understood the guidance notes. 

We encourage you to save your progress as you complete your application.  Ensure that you complete the email address field, this will allow you to return to a saved application.  Click on the 'save job application' tab at the botton of the page to save your progress and you will be emailed a link back to your saved application form.
