"The Eastern Area Partnership continues to provide a local focus on significant issues in our communities and enables residents and key stakeholders to shape future service delivery" - Graeme Oram, Chair, Eastern Area Partnership
"Having retired and returned to the area, I was interested to get involved in local activities and use my experience to contribute in some way. Once I took the initial steps, I found tremendous support and encouragement from Stockton Council's Officers and Councillors to link into their 'network' of community groups and committees. The culture and attitude of Stockton Renaissance is refreshing and forward looking and I would encourage others to get involved and not just moan about things in the pub!" Doug Nicholson, Member Eastern Area Partnership
The Eastern Area Partnership Board is responsible for:
- Providing a local area based forum to consider Eastern Area based regeneration issues and to assist Stockton Renaissance in the development and implementation of strategies for the Borough;
- Providing a structure to link with the thematic partnerships and the opportunity for community and voluntary sector representatives, representatives from parish and ward councillors and people from the private sector to work with service providers to improved service delivery in the Eastern Area.
