The Renaissance Central Area Partnership covers the areas of Hardwick, Bishopsgarth and Elm Tree, Fairfield, Hartburn, Grangefield, Parkfield and Oxbridge, Stockton Town Centre, Norton and surrounding villages.
The Chair of this Partnership (Paul Thomas, Portack Residents Association) represents the Central Area Partnership on Stockton Renaissance, ensuring residents in the Central Area are included within the decision making structure for the Borough.
Membership
The Board's membership is currently comprised of thirty one representatives, which are drawn from the following sectors:
- Voluntary & Community Sector - 20 members
- Public and Private Sector - 11 members
Each member is considered an equal and active partner and holds office for a fixed period of 2 years, commencing 1st April.
The Central Area Partnership Board is responsible for
- Advising and supporting Stockton Renaissance in the development and implementation of regeneration programmes, including those funded by Single Regeneration Budget, through delegated powers provided by Stockton Renaissance;
- Providing a local area based forum to consider Stockton based regeneration issues and to assist Stockton Renaissance in the development and implementation of a regeneration strategy for the Borough;
- Supporting the whole LSP structure and it s constituent members to improve the quality of life for residents of the Area Partnership and beyond.
