There's no chance of youngsters being bored this summer holiday thanks to a wealth of library events.
Stockton Borough Council's Library Service is running a series of arts, crafts and reading sessions at libraries across the Borough to keep children entertained over the holiday period.
The service is also running its annual Summer Reading Challenge, with this year's sports themed challenge called Team Read. Youngsters are given a pack filled with incentives to encourage them to read a minimum of six books and will receive a certificate and medal when they complete it.
The Reading Challenge, run by The Reading Agency, is ten years old this year and reaches more than over 650,000 children in the UK.
Councillor Mary Womphrey, Stockton Borough Council's Cabinet Member for Arts, Leisure and Culture, said: "Reading is a wonderful activity and I encourage all youngsters to take part in this mental workout and win some medals."
