Communications Unit: Stockton Council's communications unit seeks to provide a first-rate service to press and media outlets. We aim to help journalists, researchers, broadcasters and photographers to do their jobs professionally, and do so with an awareness of the pressures they face.

This means we do all we can to provide newsworthy, topical and interesting information that is factually accurate and timely.

There are lots of interesting things going on here, from our exciting regeneration programme to the UK's leading street arts event, the Stockton International Riverside Festival.  Stockton Council is the 2010 winner of the Association for Public Service Excellence 'Council of the Year' and has received the top 'excellent' rating for Use of Resources from the Audit Commission.
